CLEANING
Your trusted Oriental rug cleaners will insure a skilled cleaning that brings out the richness of the colour and softness of the wool. Depending on the amount of traffic, a professional washing is recommend every one to three years for the cleaning of your oriental rug.
WASHING Your carpets are your investment in your pleasure, comfort and beautifying your home. So they do need to be looked after. All carpets require cleaning every 2- 3 years. We offer our own Fresh Water Washing process where thorough washing will bring back the luxurious feel and warmth back to your carpets.
REPAIRS AND RESTORATIONS:
Since hand -knotted rugs last a long time, from time to time they may require repairs on the edges of fringes. Not only do we offer full repair service, but also full restorations to you antique Rugs and Collector pieces.
ROTATION
To insure even wear, your rug should be rotated once a year. Depending on the traffic, the rotation may varry from six months to two years.
VACUUMING
Oriental rugs, like most carpeting, should be vacuumed on a regular basis to remove dirt and restore life to the fibers. Be sure not to vacuum the fringe.
PADDING
A quality pad used under your rug, helps protect it from dirt, wear a nd slippage. We will be happy to provide you with the correct padding.
RESTORATION
In case of damage, just about any problem has a solution with a professional restoration. Old and antique rugs sometimes need to be rewoven where worn and restored to life. Newer rgus are rarely in need of repair. An experienced professional must always be consulted in these matters.

NO TIME LIMIT FOR EXCHANGE
We stand behind every rug we sell. So should you need to change your rugs for another color, size or style. We will be glad to trade/ exchange for another one based on current evaluation at the time of trade.
- Clean spills immediately so that they do not become set in the rug
- Don’t rub stains as it can cause them to become set in the fibers, rather blot them with a cloth
- Ensure that any cleaning products are completely removed after cleaning
- After cleaning, use dry towels to absorb remaining moisture
- When having rugs cleaned professionally (especially hand-made rugs), always make use of reputable rug experts
- Before professional cleaning, ensure that the rug is inspected with the cleaner to confirm its condition and obtain a signed receipt and guarantee of work

WOOL RUGS
- Vacuum wool rugs regularly to keep them looking their best
- When cleaning, use only cold or lukewarm water to avoid shrinkage and damage
- Blot away any spills immediately and then clean with mild soap and water – do not use oxygen cleaners
- Avoid exposure to direct sunlight to prevent fading
- For best results, professional cleaning is recommended
SILK RUGS
- Never saturate or soak silk rugs with water as this can damage the fibers
- Blot away any spills immediately and then clean with mild soap and water – do not use oxygen cleaners
- For best results, periodic professional cleaning is recommended and encouraged to protect silk fibers
NATURAL FIBER RUGS
- Natural fibers are highly absorbent and should be cleaned regularly
- Vacuum regularly to prevent dirt from becoming trapped in the fibers
- Do not steam clean or saturate with water – this can cause rugs to shrink or be damaged
- Avoid exposure to direct sunlight to prevent fading
- Periodic professional cleaning (preferably suction or dry extraction) is recommended for best results
Vacuuming Tips
- Canister vacuums without beater bars are recommended for cleaningrugs
- Brooms and other manual sweeping methods are also suitable for cleaning rugs
- Hand-held rug-cleaning attachments should be used where possible
- Beater bars are not recommended because they can damage rugs
- If beater bars must be used then they should be set to the highest setting and care taken not to damage the fibers
- Powerful vacuums are not recommended because they can pull fibers from the base of a rug
- Reversible rugs should be vacuumed on both sides to prevent build-up of dirt on one side
- Avoid running vacuums over edges and fringes repeatedly as this can damage them
Rug Storage Tips
- If possible, wrap rugs in plastic or fabric before storage
- Clean storage areas regularly to discourage insects
- Rugs should not have heavy objects placed on top of them as these can cause damage
